There are many reasons why people believe in Jesus. We’re asking you to share yours so someone who needs it can be encouraged by your story.
You don’t have to be famous to tell your story. You don’t have to be an eloquent writer or speaker. You just have to have a heart for Jesus and be willing to share why you believe what you do about Him.
Peter said in 1 Peter 3:15: “But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect,”
Skeptics define faith as believing in something that there is no evidence for, but he word faith in the Bible is more akin to the word trust… and we trust that in which we have reason to trust.
Jesus pointed to His miracles and resurrection as proof that He was speaking the truth. The apostles and New Testament writers appealed to witnesses and events and logic and philosophy to make a case for Jesus’ life and death and resurrection. They also described their experiences of God’s providence and how Jesus changed their lives.
Your reasons could be philosophical, scientific, experiential, or something else, but we all have reasons why we believe. Most of us have a mix of reasons. Whatever your reasons, we want to hear about them, and there are others who need to hear about them too.
We’re not looking for a conversion story, though your reason for your beliefs could include a conversion story, but we want to know the answer to the qestion “Why do you believe in Jesus?”
